In the opposite direction, but not much further, are a string of golden beaches to choose from, arguably the finest of the island, from the lively Glyfada to the quiet, but exotic Yialiskari.  But that is not all, being on a modest elevation in a small valley it escapes the high temperatures and humidity levels closer to the shores, perfect for enjoying a BBQ by the poolside.
